Lancaster County Housing Market Gains Momentum Heading into Spring

Lancaster County, PA — The housing market showed strong month-over-month growth in March 2026, with increases in listings, pending sales, and closed transactions, according to the latest report.
New listings rose to 470, up 53.1% from February, while pending sales reached 425 (+36.2%) and closed sales totaled 342 (+23.0%). Despite this momentum, activity remains slightly below March 2025 levels.
Home prices remained strong, with the median sold price at $345,000, up 4.4% year-over-year. Inventory increased to 535 active listings, giving buyers more options, while homes continued to sell quickly at 103.3% of list price on average.|

“The March data reflects a healthy seasonal shift as we enter the spring market,” said Christina Diehl, President. “We’re seeing more inventory come online, which is giving buyers more opportunities while prices remain strong.”
“While activity is slightly below last year, demand is still very much present,” Diehl added. “If inventory continues to grow, we could see a more balanced market in the months ahead.”
